Book Review: Book Authority: How to Write, Self-Publish & Market Your Book

Book Authority: How to Write, Self-Publish & Market Your Book
Shiv Verma (Author)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

One of the best guides in the market for self published Authors.

I purchased this guide to help me get a better handle on some of the other books I have in the forecast to publish. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I was spending so much money on promoting and marketing my current book. It fascinates me to see how the little things add up to one giant total. While the expense is one factor in publishing a book it’s the vision of a dream coming to life that encourages one to persevere despite all obstacles. In a good way this guide is an eye-opener that, in my view, gives us all a good roadmap to follow so that our dream of becoming an Author can not only take root, but also soar into the realm of reality.

Words to describe this guide are: Informative, Direct, Original, Comprehensive, Eye-Opening, and above all well written with an air great completeness. It is a Must Buy for anyone who is an Author and those folks aspiring to become one amidst this crazy literary world we are living.

In retrospect I wish I’d purchased this guide long before my first published work. It certainly would have saved time and money as well.

5 Stars for Author Shiv Verma and above all thanks for helping us all become more adept to the world of publishing.

Book Review: Ray Ryan

Ray Ryan [Kindle Edition]
Aiden Riley (Author)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

First time author debut in an epic and sweeping fashion!

This book in my opinion is well written and highly addictive in nature. The storyline and plot kept me engaged the entire time engulfing my imagination and senses in memorizing fashion.

In short this book focuses on main character, Ray Ryan who is a young English boy that longs to become a writer. Things don’t work out as planned no thanks to a number of circumstances primarily being his friend who changes his destiny in a shocking and appalling manner. Along his journey he faces and deals with those tribulations in unique ways that makes his character stand out from the rest.

At times I found it a little complex to follow but then best sellers are not straightforward. It was friendly and engaged me in ways that found myself relating to the main character. I was sad when it came to an end and left me wanting more.  Overall it is definitely an original tale of fantastic quality that has earned 5 stars in my book.

Book Reviews: Armageddon and the 4th Timeline

Armageddon and the 4th Timeline: A Spiritual Odyssey Through Time & Eternity
By Don Mardak (Author)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

Time Travel, War and the Supernatural all collide in an astounding fashion that will sweep you away.

From the very get go this story will engage you on an all out thrill ride that will stand the test of time. It might come as a shock to most but this “end of world,” tale does not involve Zombie’s or Aliens from another plant.

That is much a relief in my view!

There’s nothing wrong with Zombie’s or Aliens, it’s just that our Planet Earth needs to find a new way to come to a ghastly end. The good news is that Author Don Mardak has found the way in this epic non-stop action thrill ride that is both original, and simply mind-blowing. It will literally take your breath away and keep your eyes glued to your reading device way into the late night hours.

In short it took me a total of three days to finish “Armageddon and the 4th Timeline: A Spiritual Odyssey Through Time & Eternity.” The characters and storyline develop with skill and class of a season veteran. This is one you don’t want to miss and without a doubt is a Must Buy.

5 Stars and can’t wait to read more.

Audio Book: History of St. Augustine Florida

History of St. Augustine Florida: Whimsically Illustrated History of North America's Oldest City
Written by: Jesse W. Love
Narrated by: Josh Engel
Length: 38 mins

Audio Book
By Michael Beas

As a once Florida Native and a history buff I have always wanted to plan a road trip to St. Augustine with the family. I am planning on going back to Florida in May and St. Augustine will be one of the stops we have on the itinerary. Time is always limited these days with children and so on, as such I thought it might be best to look for an audio book the could I could listen too before visiting this magical place. I stumbled across the “History of St. Augustine Florida: Whimsically Illustrated History of North America's Oldest City,” by Author Jesse W. Love, and thought it would be a great way to learn more about this amazing historic destination.

The Audio Book was narrated beautifully, it was informative and well thought out as well as written. Total length is appx. 38 minutes and is filled with grand descriptiveness that took me on a historic adventure ride where I had the privilege of meeting fascinating characters the likes of which include: St. Augustine including Spaniards, French, English, Native Americans as well as many others.

Author Jesse W. Love has deffiniatly painted a vivid picture of what I consider to be the highlight of our trip. I am already imagining myself walking down the Spanish fort the Castillo San Marcos, that dates back to the 1600’s and retracing one of the oldest historical towns in America.

I cant wait for the trip to start and am so grateful for having the opportunity to listen to this fantasic desctiptive book that will help anyone who is interested in learning more about St. Augustine or like me, planning a trip.

Astounding job with this audio book. 5 Stars!

5 for 5 Star Amazon Review! Strump A World of Shadows

5.0 out of 5 stars
Strump will be hard to top March 14, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase

I was merely five pages in when I put Strump down to collect myself. So I pulled my hair back and got a cup of coffee before I began again; this was some serious fantasy and I intended to be all there for it.

The world inside Strump is enchanting. And I mean every corner of it; from the names of characters, places, things, to the description and dialogue. This author has an incredible imagination and the mad skills to transport his readers into a land divided in two. I should have waited to write this review because at the moment I’m tongue-tied with adjectives. All I want to do is put everything in caps and end it with exclamation points. I don’t often gush, but that’s all I seem to want to do.

At its heart of heart, this is a story of two brothers who both want the keys to their father’s kingdom. One is nefarious, the other virtuous, both powerful. By birthright, yes, but also because of the allegiances they form. And this is just the main vein. So many subplots and delightful characters abound.

I agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviewer who said this is a great bedtime story. I thought the same thing! Like, somebody cue Fred Savage and tell him to climb under the covers because Grandpa’s got a real doozy for him this time around.

Definitely the best fantasy I’ve read in a long, long time. I loved it.

Iron Bloom (Legend of the Iron Flower Book One)

Iron Bloom (Legend of the Iron Flower Book One)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

Author Billy Wong takes center stage in this first book of what is going to be a mesmerizing and phenomenal series you will not want to miss.

I was reminded of the Disney movie Mulan when reading this Fantasy Novel that is soon to be a classic. Rose is the main character in this sweeping novel that took me to imaginary world deep in the heart of the RIEL, Royal Interprovincial Enforcers of Law

In this world of fantasy Rose goes off on her own and against her fathers wishes. Eventually she becomes a sellsword and bodyguard with an unending thirst for adventure.

Readers of all ages will enjoy this fantasy novel the first in a series. The novel was filled with twist and turns and was well written. From the very first pages you are sucked into an amazing world that will literally take you away. What’s in the cards for Rose Agen is still to be seen in the next books that I can’t wait to get my hands on.

Don’t miss out on this amazing promotion and pick up a copy of Iron Bloom (Legend of the Iron Flower Book One)

Book Review 5 Stars for Rich in Gratitude

Rich in Gratitude,
 by R.C. Lane

Book Review
By Michael Beas

Rich in Gratitude, by R.C. Lane is one of the most influential books that I have had the privilege of reading in a very long time.

Meditation is powerful and can truly help a person find the inner peace they search for amidst all of the chaos and struggles found in our ever-changing world. More and more people are forgetting the importance of gratitude and above all the ability to humble oneself in a society that is constantly teaching us to boast our successes and accomplishments.

Author R. C. Lane, in this fantastic book, teaches us in a very simple way the steps needed to find peace through the things we sometimes let pass by. The first night I started reading this book I could not put it down. It swept me away into a different realm outside of the normal hustle and bustle of my everyday life. I began to apply the principles taught by his vast knowledge and then shared it with my wife and daughter for them to apply in their lives as well.

Needless to say all three of us have become a fans of R.C. Lane and have taken on the 30 day practical Gratitude Challenge.

The quality of writing is outstanding, the story flows perfectly, the knowledge contained inside the pages is priceless and the overall improvement on my quality of life is unquantifiable.

My only regret is not having read this amazing book sooner.

5 Star and a huge thanks to Author R. C. Lane for writing and sharing his teachings with everyone.

Book Review: Modern Fairy Tales for the Fairy Tale Jaded!

Modern Fairy Tales for the Fairy Tale Jaded

Book Review
By Michael Beas

An engulfing fairy tale ride that set to become a sure classic amongst all who read the pages within.

First and foremost I should mention that I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review of its content.

The stories contained in the book are tales set in different realms that create vivid imagery and descriptiveness that take the reader away to a different place. Modern Fairy Tales for the Fairy Tale Jaded is the yet again another great story in the amazing arsenal of fantasy young adult fiction books for Suzanne Struthers and is in my opinion a home run in quality and style.

The stories are well written flowing and were edited perfectly drawing the reader deep into the heart of memorable storylines that will last the test of time. The only downfall I found in this book was the cover. Personally I thought it was to bland for the amazing quality of the book contained inside its pages. One should never judge a book by its cover, as they say. In closing the story was fun and witty and filled with amazing tales mermaids, centaurs, phoenix and fairies.

5 Stars and cant wait to read more from Author Suzanne Struthers.

Book Review: WALL - Love, Sex and Immortality

WALL - Love, Sex and Immortality
(Aquarius Trilogy Book One)
by Stan I.S. Law

Book Review
By Michael Beas

A novel that stands in a class all on its own.

In short this is an amazing love story that engulfs the mind and senses in a memorable and sweeping fashion. The characters, Simon and Ambrosia develop well and are extremely likeable. The storyline and plot are original and interesting. For me personally the story was written in a fast paced manner that captivated my imagination from the very start.

Author Stan I.S. Law truly has a talent to capture the minds and hearts of most that read him. I am a huge fan of his work and it’s an honor to be able offer this review for yet another one of his great novels. At the end of the day the reader will have to decide if some of the topics are realistic in nature or not. I don’t know much about quantum mechanical phenomenon, or nuclear fusion, or the sequence stars as they align in a way befit all comprehension. What I do know is a well-written story of two people that are connected together by fate and destiny.

I for one learned a great deal when reading this book. There are so many things in our universe that have yet to be discovered. My favorite part was the Authors description of the Greek Isles. While I have never traveled there, it is a place that I will certainly go one day and is a place that for the past couple of nights I had the pleasure of envisioning during my nightly read of WALL - Love, Sex and Immortality.

This novel is a great work of literary fiction that flows perfectly and is a Must Read for all! Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

5 Stars!

STRUMP Gets an Interviewed by Indie News with Author J.C. Brown

I wrote Strump: A World of Shadows during one of the most challenging points in life. In many ways my life was in a world of shadows, filled with uncertainty and looking for a way to make a difference for my family and I. During these challenging moments the concept of the word STRUMP came into my mind and inspired me to write a story. STRUMP means a great deal in the fantasy world that I created. Each letter in the name represent a magical game piece forged by King STRUMP. For example S = Strength, T= Truth, U = Unity, M = Malice, and P = Power. Each one of these Magical pieces possesses a force be fit only for a true and rightful king. However, even Kings can turn evil at times, as was the case with King STRUMP who only used the pieces for his greatness and glory that only created harm An uprising started, a king was over thrown and legend was formed.
