Book Review: The Legend of Vanx Malic Book (2)

"Dragon Isle: The Legend of Vanx Malic."
by M. R. Mathias

Book Review
by Michael Beas

Flaming Dragons are just the start of an all out adventure ride that took me away and filed my imagination with suspense as well as non stop action that left me wanting more.

The Legend of Vanx Malic is the second book from "Through the Wildwood" and is an amazing follow up to the first. This is definitely a multi-dimensional world you will not want to miss.

The Fantasy world M. R. Mathias has created will take you away from the very get go and will not stop until the very end, which can not be said about many fantasy books that take a few chapters to develop. The hero of the story sets the stage once again and inspires readers to have the necessary courage to persevere through all of life’s challenges. There is a hero inside all of us that needs to be discovered. Once you do there will be no stopping as what can be achieved. Remember the only thing to fear is fear itself.

Definitely a must read for all us Fantasy Buffs who are looking to get away into an enchanted world of non-stop adventure and suspense.

The story progresses well and is extremely well written, personally I think it is better then the first. Total read time for me was one day, not because of the stories length, but rather because I could not put it down.

Definitely a solid and captivating story for the ages. The only question left is when will it be turned into the next epic movie?

5 Stars!

Doubt (Among us Trilogy)
By Anne-Rae Vasquez

Book Review
by Michael Beas

What can be said other then AMAZING and Epic in scale! “Doubt (Among Us Trilogy),” will captivate the imagination in an all out thrill ride that will leave you begging for more.

“Doubt” is a fast paced story where Harry Doubt online gamer and creator of the Truth Seekers game takes his game offline to search for who or what is behind the disappearances of his mother and his friends’ loved ones. When they get closer to the truth, they uncover supernatural forces living among them. This is when the quest for the truth comes alive in an all out adventure where only they can stop the catastrophic events from happening.

This is the first book in the promised trilogy that is very well written and full of twist and turns that fills every page with pure suspense. Author, Anne-Rae Vasquez, has a wide range of unique characters in the story and they all develop fantastically into a well-established storyline and suspenseful supernatural plot that will make your heart race.

If you are fan of the hit TV show Fringe, Lost or 4400 then this is going to be a great book for you to read. In closing, I read this book in only 2 days and simply could not put it down. It rates up as a solid 5 Stars and a definite must read for all. Cant wait to read what Anne-Rae Vasquez comes up with next.

Book Review: Christianity the Amazing Adventure by N.E. Lang

Christianity the Amazing Adventure
by N.E. Lang

Book Review Offered
by Michael Beas

As a Christian, I found “Christianity the Amazing Adventure by N.E. Lang ” to be a great spiritual guide and highly recommend it for other Christians looking to grow in their faith.

While this book focuses on many aspects of the Christian faith, I found that the overall theme focused on building a personal one- on-one relationship with our savior Jesus Christ. We live in a world filled with busy schedules, filled with social media and constant change that sometimes makes us loose focus on our one and only creator, Jesus Christ. More often then not we place everything and everyone before Christ and that’s not how things should be.

Author N.E. Lang was able, with this helpful guide, to get me back on track with my faith. His words inspired and helped me to focus again on Jesus Christ, who always loves and cares about me above all things. We need to always place him first in our lives.

From a writing perspective, the book flowed perfectly and was well researched as well as written. I read,  “Christianity the Amazing Adventure” in one seating and was left wanting more uplifting and encouraging words.

I noticed that N. E. Lang has another Christian book titled, “Christians with Addictions” which I will also check out tonight. If it is anything like “Christianity the Amazing Adventure,” I am sure it will be a great spiritual treat that I wont be able to put down.

Book Review: Art in the Dark by Robery Eichlberg

Book Review
by Michael Beas

Art in the Dark
by Robert Eichlberg

Witty and Fun on a Grand Scale. This how best I would describe this short story collection from Author Robert Eichlberg.

“Art in the Dark” truly took my by surprise in many ways. The cover of the book captivated me and I purchased it out of curiosity more then anything else. I was shocked to find that while funny and witty the short story collection really dealt with very important aspects of human development and above all morality.

Most of the ideas described in the stories parities, I have thought before, especially when I take a step back and look at how developed nations are rapidly progressing. We live in materialistic society which is growing on a massive scale, and that is fueled by Politian’s and news media. It truly is ironic how easily we are lured by the latest must haves that are being driven by our loss of privacy, no thanks to all of the social media we have to live with.

Now don’t get me wrong, these are hard topics to discuss and more so stay focused on with out going out off the deep end with crazy conspiracy theories. Author Robert Eichlberg does it with a style all of his own in a humorous fun way to keep your attention, which to be frank is not an easy task.

If I had to critique something it would have to be that narrative is a little too short, but then again it is a short story collection and I am sure this is the start of other works soon to come.

I rate this one up as a strong 4 and cant wait to read more.

"Relationship Roulette.....Single, Married, Divorced, Now What?” Book Review

Relationship Roulette.....Single, Married, Divorced, Now What?
by Theodore Lovelace

Book Review
By Michael Beas

"Relationship Roulette.....Single, Married, Divorced, Now What?” Again are some of the main topics the discussed in Relationship Roulette. Author Theodore Lovelace has created an in depth book that touches on the heart of what we as humans experience throughout our relationships in life.

The main characters of this book are Chris and Amanda, who start off dating and then venture through different scenarios that depict the ups and downs of a relationship.  Throughout the book I constantly looked into my own past relationships and Marriage trying to find validity for the points the writer touched upon. After a careful self-evaluation of my own self, I have to say that it was really on target. In many ways Relationship Roulette was an eye opener for how I should better improve my own relationship with my spouse so that we can better communicate with each other and above all work out the differences in our matrimony.

This is a very well written, well-versed self-help book that will really help anyone who wants to understand the true nature of what it takes to be in a relationship. In order for it to be truly adventitious you will have to, like myself, self evaluate who you are and above all (were) are you currently in life with your partner. If you do, I guarantee it will help you in some way so that you don’t fall into the trap of having to play Relationship Roulette.

On a side note the pictures inside the book are linked to very helpful websites. While I did not check them all out, the few I did were extremely helpful.

All and all this one in my book gets 5 stars.

Friday Night Book Review: The Admiral of Bolivia

Book Review
 by Author Michael Alexander Beas

The Admiral of Bolivia
By Chief John J. Mandeville

Fun and fantastic with many twists and turns. The Admiral is hear and he is going to take you from NYC into the heart of Bolivia where you will visit one of the worlds most amazing Natural Wonders, Lake Titicaca. But wait there is much in John J. Mandeville’s epic story.

In this exciting tale the reader will get to meet main character Mike, the Rooter who is taken to Bolivia by his dashing wife, Mary. Then Mike’s five other dynamic firehouse friends enter the picture to make this fictional story come alive with adventure, and thrills that’s nonstop till the end.

Throughout the story the author unveils a wide portfolio of different plots and schemes that mixes well with both the current and past political world of Bolivian politics.

John J. Mandeville does an exceptional job of mixing a fun filled storyline with a tense subject matter that rings home for many Bolivian’s. He does this with carefully plotted humor and pacts it with action filled turns the likes of seen only on “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” albeit with a Bronx type twist.

Having personally traveled, lived and am married to a Bolivian native I found myself going back in time to some of the best moments of my life. I can vouch that this story is truly accurate to the settings of La Paz, and Bolivia, which is a definite necessity when writing about another county and its culture.

The very heart of the story and how it is written is well done. It flows perfectly with ease allowing the reader to engage effortlessly into the plot from the very beginning.

Unexpectedly I found myself reading about submarines, secret agents, car chases, gunfights and even a strange kind of romance that the Pope himself has to be mentioned. Onward and forward the pages turned during the wee hours of the morning. I read the The Admiral of Bolivia in less then 2 days, it was a great read that I would rate up with 4 stars and would encourage everyone to check out.
