Book Review: Xoe: or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, oh my!

Xoe: or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, oh my! (Xoe Meyers Young Adult Fantasy/Horror Series) [Kindle Edition]
Sara C. Roethle (Author)

“Xoe” is one of those books that you will simply not be able to put down from start to finish.

A gripping tale that sent chills down my spine and left me wanting more from Author Sara C. Roethle.

Alexondra Meyers, whose friends call Xoe, is developed perfectly in a stunning and captivating manner that is easy to relate too. At times you will find yourself rooting for her, while at others she will just make you cringe. Lisa, Allison, Dan and Jason together with Xoe all collide in an original unique story that entails vampires and werewolves. There is Adventure, Romance, Mystery, Fantasy and Suspense.

While the book is intended for a teenage audience I felt that all would enjoy. Total read time for me was about a day and a half and would definitely enjoy reading more from author Sara C. Roethle.  The Xoe Meyer’s series is truly unique and captivating. I shared with my teenage daughter and she too has become a fan of Xoe.

Book Review: How To Kill Cancer Cells

How To Kill Cancer Cells

Book Review
By Michael Beas

http://www.amazon.com/Kill-Cancer-Cells-Natalie-Mitchell-ebook/dp/B00BH45QTI/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1397745455&sr=1-1&keywords=%22How+to+kill+cancer+cells

Author and Nutritionist Natalie Mitchell take center stage in what seems to be the never-ending battle against Cancer.

In short, this is a unique and comprehensive book that will arm you with the tools needed to fight cancer through preventives. It’s truly a proactive approach to building a solid knowledge base that can lead to a more active, fit and hopefully cancer free lifestyle.

Some of the topics I found to be the most intriguing are the foods that are good and those that at least, on the outside, seem good and healthy but on the inside may in-fact be harming us. This book is well written in an easy to follow manner that will keep your eyes glued to your reading device well into the late night hours. I cannot stress how comprehensive this book truly is. The information found, is well researched and documented through various medial publications providing a solid backbone to the message being portrayed throughout the book. In other words its not something made up that has no baring on your life as is the case with many other books in the market today.

The vegetable acidity chart came as shock to me when I saw some of my favorite foods at the top of the list. It ‘s also great that this book is available in digital format, that way I can reference anytime I want on my kindle.

Words to describe this book are Informational, Comprehensive, Descriptive, Eye Opening, and Profound in so many ways that truly should be shared with everyone.

On a personal note I lost my Grandfather and Father to Cancer. As a society we need to not only invest money on cures, but also need to take a proactive approach to helping people live healthier lifestyles. This book is an amazing first step that I personally will reference over and over. Totally worth the investment and I Highly Recommend to all.

Book Review: Limo Bill the Undercover Assassin

Limo Bill the Undercover Assassin
Bill Ames (Author)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

Your next limo ride will never be the same again!

Author Bill Ames has crafted an amazing story that is entertaining, fun, exciting and jammed packed with action in a sexy provocative way that left me smiling and wanting more. Think Jason Borne / Jason Statham on overdrive with an original storyline and plot theme.

In short, this is a story about an assassin that dubs as a Limo Driver in Myrtle Beach.  Sex, Parties, Girls and Action are the forefront for this epic story. Having lived close by and visited Myrtle Beach the better part of my life I could only smile with the authors vivid descriptiveness, especially when describing the different landscapes and scenery of sandy Myrtle Beach. Yes the nightlife is pretty crazy sometimes.

What else can be said, other then this is a well-written book that is Captivating, Humorous and Thrilling in a unique memorable manner. I have become a new fan of Author Bill Ames and Limo Bill the Undercover Assassin.

5 Stars.

Book Review: The Rainy Day Man

The Rainy Day Man
Amnon Jackont (Author), Dorothea Shefer-Vanson (Translator)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

Main Character Danny Simon takes center stage in this epic all out adventure ride that will have you clinging to the edge of your seat.

I purchased the “The Rainy Day Man” the other night and got through it the same day. It was gripping and filled with nonstop action the likes of which I have only seen in Daniel Silva novels. In short this is a story of an Israeli secret agent that’s main duty is to collect data. Seems easy enough but the journey is far from that as he is thirsted into a world of danger and espionage. There is no one he can trust and he is forced to come to grips with his own self in the process.

The ending made me grin, smile, and gasp for air in a memorable fashion that left me wanting more from Author Amnon Jackont. Simply brilliant and unique is a sweeping fashion.

Book Review: Welcome to Deep Cove (Vellian Mysteries)

Welcome to Deep Cove (Vellian Mysteries)
Grant T. Reed (Author, Illustrator)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

An amazing and captivating story of classic proportion!

This is one of those books that you simply will not be able to put down once you get started. I was completely enthralled with this original storyline and plot theme that swept me away to the tiny coastal town of Deep Cove. All of the characters are developed perfectly, my favorite being Garrett Willigins, who was made detective but is still trying to scrape two pennies together to make a living.

Words to describe this book are: Fun, Exciting, Thrilling, Suspenseful, Descriptive, and Captivating in an adventurous way that will leave you wanting more.

An extremely well writing tale that will have you going into work late the next day and leave you wanting more. I was saddened to see it come to and end and can assure you that it will engulf the imagination well after you are done reading.

Book Review: The Diabolical Doctor: A Steele Russell Thriller

The Diabolical Doctor: A Steele Russell Thriller [Kindle Edition]

Book Review
By Michael Beas

Book one of a two part story is a medical thriller that will have you clinging to the edge of your seat.

Part 1 will simply take you away in a suspenseful manner, and while there are many words to describe “The Diabolical Doctor: A Steele Russell Thriller,” by Author Robert Carlson, only one truly gives it justice: Gripping!

A lethal web of diabolical characters sets the stage for an all out rush to the end. From the very get go you will be enthralled with twist, and turns that will leave you breathless and have you sleeping with the lights on. Stem Cell Research has never seemed this dangerous.

Author Robert Carlson is the master of trepidation and his books are chilling in an astounding manner. This is a well written story with an original plot theme that surly will last the test of time.

5 Stars and cant wait to read more! Can't wait to go out and purchase the next.

Book Review: The Elder Unearthed: Tales of NasNoroth and the Cult of the Elder

The Elder Unearthed: Tales of NasNoroth and the Cult of the Elder

Book Review
By Michael Beas

An astounding collection of short stories that will engulf your mind and imagination!

Three words that best describe “The Elder Unearthed: Tales of NasNoroth and the Cult of the Elder” are: Creepy, Dark and Gripping. Author Michael Garza has does a fantastic job in this book. All of the characters are developed smoothly, and in a sweeping fashion that will set that stage for on the edge suspense.

In short this is a collection of twelve pieces in total. Nine of these pieces are stories, with the other three brief poems. All of which are haunting in a memorable way that is well written and original. The best quality that I like about Author Michael Garza is his writing style is his descriptiveness and his use of words. Both are simply brilliant and captivating that enthrall the senses in a picturesque fashion that is not easy to match.

I highly recommend this book to all interested in sleeping with the lights on!

Book Review: Spades (Book Two)

Spades (Book Two)
Kristy Evans (Author)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

A multi-dimensional series fit to last the test of time.

Spades is book two of an amazing series that stands in a class all on its own. Author Kristy Evans does a fantastic job in this second book in the series that has managed to captivate my mind, heart and imagination in a sweeping fashion. From the very start of the book you will be engulfed in amazing fashion by way of vivid descriptiveness that can only be pulled off by a great Author.

The storyline and plot theme are original and the main character Calise Thomas is developed in a superb fashion with depth and feeling. At times I found myself rooting for Calise while as others I found myself wondering what she was going to do next. The writing style is gripping and this is one of those books that will keep you glued to your reading device all throughout the night. No spoiler but the end is simply unpredictable and will make you want to go out and purchase the next book in the series. That is the next thing I am going to do as soon as I finish up with this review.

In short this is a well-written book in an astonishing series that flows perfectly. I have become a fan and highly recommend.

Book Review: Broken Sky

Broken Sky
Saurav Dutt (Author)

Bookplex Review
By Michael Beas

A visually rich story that will engulf the mind and imagination in a mesmerizing fashion fit to last the test of time.

This is definitely a lengthy book that took me all of three days to put down. With that said, it is also a page-turner that will keep you enthralled the entire time. All of the characters are developed lovely and are easy in my opinion to engage and relate to. I like the fact that the secondary characters are mentioned and play a role in the overall plot theme of the story without overpowering the main characters. Most books in this genre allow the secondary characters to take lead and thus cause the book to sound confusing, especially with a book of this size. That was not the case in this book. Author Saurav Dutt does a fantastic job of allowing the story to flow naturally and fitting in a way that is easy to read and understand, not an easy task to accomplish.

The stories deeper message of “what or how far would you go to help someone you love?” This in particular resonated with me personally having lost a father due to brain cancer and the truth is that a person will do almost anything to help / save the person they love. Words to describe this book are: Emotional, Inspirational, Suspenseful and Well- Written in a way that has captivated my heart and mind well after I was done reading.

5 Stars and can’t wait to read more from Author Saurav Dutt.

Book Review: Time Killer

Time Killer

Todd M. Thiede (Author)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

A gripping thrill ride that will keep your eyes glued to your reading device.

This amazing storyline takes off from the very beginning and does not stop until the very end. Author Todd M. Thiede in his novel “Time Killer,” presents an original plot that will keep you on edge the entire time.

The story starts off with Stephen waking up alongside his wife only to be surprised that they are both bound and gagged. If that is not enough to get your attention try adding the fact that the masked killer is in the room and waiting to do his dirty work. Stephen’s wife is butchered and two policemen begin what would be a long investigation of not just this killing, but many more that begin to occur.

Words that best describe this book are: Thrilling, Mysterious, Suspenseful, Original, Gripping and Captivating in all the right ways.

Highly recommended and cant wait to read more from Author Todd M. Thiede.

Book Review: Drowning Mermaids

Drowning Mermaids
Nadia Scrieva (Author)

Book Review
By Michael Beas

Drowning Mermaids is simply amazing.

This novel has it all: Action, Adventure, Romance, Fantasy and even Humor.

I am huge a Fantasy buff and as such the world that Author Nadia Scrieva created captivated my senses and imagination. In many ways I found this book to be a cross between “The Deadliest Catch” and the “Little Mermaid.” It has the makings of a movie that I envisioned in my head as the pages turned effortlessly.

The main characters Trevain, Aazuria, and Callder are original, they are developed exceptionally well and their personalities are easy to relate with. The storyline is grand and epic and the plot and over all themes will keep you on edge the whole time. I was sad to see it come to an end and can not wait to read more

It took me two-nights to read this story to completion. After reading, I recommended it to everyone in my family. They too have found it to be an amazing novel of classic proportion.

What else can be said? I am addicted to Drowning Mermaids, and I highly recommend it to everyone. 5 Stars and wish there were more stars to pass out.
