Author Spotlight: T. C. Southwell

Author Spotlight: T. C. Southwell

Today I put the spotlight on fantasy author T. C. Southwell, specifically her most popular series, The Queen’s Blade.

A doomed kingdom, a young queen’s sacrifice and a killer who will bring an empire to its knees...

In a world where men share kindred with beasts, an ageless seer predicts a child who will end the Endless War. One man is the instrument who will change fate. He will usher in a time of strife and pain that will live in legend, and forever bear his name... the time of the Queen’s Blade.

“I recommend this entire series to anyone with an imagination, particularly if you love animals and seeing bad guys suffer.” – Vanessa Finaughty, ex-Cape Times reviewer.

The first book in this series is free, so grab your copy today!

Readers who enjoy real-life assassin stories can also look forward to a series of assassin posts on T. C. Southwell’s blog, which will go live some time in the next few weeks.

About the author:

T. C. Southwell was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the Seychelles when she was a baby. She spent her formative years exploring the islands – mostly alone. Naturally, her imagination flourished and she developed a keen love of other worlds. The family travelled through Europe and Africa and, after the death of her father, settled in South Africa.

T. C. Southwell has written over thirty fantasy and science fiction novels, as well as five screenplays. Her hobbies include motorcycling, horse riding and art, and she is now a full-time writer.

Book Reviews: Armageddon and the 4th Timeline

Armageddon and the 4th Timeline: A Spiritual Odyssey Through Time & Eternity

Time Travel, War and the Supernatural all collide in an astounding fashion that will sweep you away.

From the very get go this story will engage you on an all out thrill ride that will stand the test of time. It might come as a shock to most but this “end of world,” tale does not involve Zombie’s or Aliens from another plant.

That is much a relief in my view!

There’s nothing wrong with Zombie’s or Aliens, it’s just that our Planet Earth needs to find a new way to come to a ghastly end. The good news is that Author Don Mardak has found the way in this epic non-stop action thrill ride that is both original, and simply mind-blowing. It will literally take your breath away and keep your eyes glued to your reading device way into the late night hours.

In short it took me a total of three days to finish “Armageddon and the 4th Timeline: A Spiritual Odyssey Through Time & Eternity.” The characters and storyline develop with skill and class of a season veteran. This is one you don’t want to miss and without a doubt is a Must Buy.

5 Stars and can’t wait to read more.

Strump will be hard to top March 14, 2014

By Christine

Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase

I was merely five pages in when I put Strump down to collect myself. So I pulled my hair back and got a cup of coffee before I began again; this was some serious fantasy and I intended to be all there for it.

The world inside Strump is enchanting. And I mean every corner of it; from the names of characters, places, things, to the description and dialogue. This author has an incredible imagination and the mad skills to transport his readers into a land divided in two. I should have waited to write this review because at the moment I’m tongue-tied with adjectives. All I want to do is put everything in caps and end it with exclamation points. I don’t often gush, but that’s all I seem to want to do.

At its heart of heart, this is a story of two brothers who both want the keys to their father’s kingdom. One is nefarious, the other virtuous, both powerful. By birthright, yes, but also because of the allegiances they form. And this is just the main vein. So many subplots and delightful characters abound.

I agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviewer who said this is a great bedtime story. I thought the same thing! Like, somebody cue Fred Savage and tell him to climb under the covers because Grandpa’s got a real doozy for him this time around.

Definitely the best fantasy I’ve read in a long, long time. I loved it.
