Having not grown up in this era “Crystal Ships” definitely took me back to a place in history that’s time span spread out over 20 years. As the pages turned I found myself reading about some of the most influential figures of all time, namely John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy that for me are some of the make this novel both unique and epic in scale. It seems that people in this era, from all walks of life and from all countries had a very difficult time adapting to the constant changes that were set in motion by the leaders that tried to make difference in our world. Crystal Ships, allows the reader to get a different vantage point that take you to places such as Vietnam, South Africa, Spain, and US Countries such as Boston, San Francisco and New Orleans to name a few.

The story is extremely well written and well researched. The personable characters, each with their own unique stories, makes the story come to life as they take you back in time where our world was in constant change. Some might arguee for the better or some for the worst. Richard S. Sharp paint a great picture through a carefully chosen plot that allows you as the reader to grow with the characters and be part of a challenging time in American History. If I had to critique something on a negative standpoint it would be the bad language used. For me personally it was a bit harsh, but then again the author was placing us in the era and mindset of the characters.

In closing Crystal Ships a 5 Star Rating. Author Richard S. Sharp has done an outstanding job and hope to read from him in the future.
